Philly/DC Trip + Russell's Birthday

The kids and I took a trip in April to Philadelphia/Washington DC. My sister had a baby and a daughter who was getting baptized so I decided to go up for those events and then decided it would be fun to go visit some old Philly friends before more of them move away. It was definitely not carefree to travel solo with 2 little boys, but the trip was fun and worth all the effort. They did great on the first travel day despite 2 planes and a long traffic-filled drive from the DC airport to Philly.  Philly was cold and rainy! We had to bring our winter gear and still were freezing! We drove by our old house and got together with some friends at the park. The kids still had fun despite the weather. Then we headed downtown and enjoyed the "dinosaur museum." Here's all the boys digging for fossils. Winter Recap and It's A...

These two are becoming better friends every day, which is good and bad. It usually means more mischief but it's also really fun. They are excited to welcome a little sister into the family in August! Russell has been convinced that we were having a girl for months so he was thrilled when he found out his prediction was right. Backtracking to our Florida winter recap...we went to visit my parents in January and celebrate my mom's birthday. Russell wanted to know where her party would be so she decided to take us bowling. Both boys had a blast. Breakfast at Grandma's house: Visiting the firehouse for a playgroup arranged by a friend of ours. Loved by all. Since our baby is due on our anniversary this year we decided to take an anniversary trip in February and go on a cruise.
