Winter Recap and It's A...

These two are becoming better friends every day, which is good and bad. It usually means more mischief but it's also really fun. They are excited to welcome a little sister into the family in August! Russell has been convinced that we were having a girl for months so he was thrilled when he found out his prediction was right.

Backtracking to our Florida winter recap...we went to visit my parents in January and celebrate my mom's birthday. Russell wanted to know where her party would be so she decided to take us bowling. Both boys had a blast.

Breakfast at Grandma's house:

Visiting the firehouse for a playgroup arranged by a friend of ours. Loved by all.

Since our baby is due on our anniversary this year we decided to take an anniversary trip in February and go on a cruise. Unfortunately, Ricardo must have been exposed to a horrible stomach bug right before we left because he got sick within hours of us being on the boat and stayed sick the entire time. Meanwhile, back at home, our kids also got it and my poor in-laws had to take Thomas to the ER because he was vomiting so much. I spent a lot of time sitting alone by the pool. Luckily I didn't get the sickness though. When we got to the Bahamas we did venture out to the beach and I snapped our only photo from the whole trip, of a poor, sick Ricardo. Hopefully, we'll have better luck with our next vacation!

So much better when we're not sick!

Russell's preschool celebrated Dr. Seuss week which he was thrilled about because he's been really excited about Dr. Seuss books over the past few months. He especially loves "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back" and so for the school parade he dressed up as the Cat in the Hat. In the book the cat has a cat inside his hat called Little Cat A and then Cat A has Cat B, all the way down to Cat Z. Russell wanted to recreate all of the cats inside his hat but we compromised on one stuffed animal inside his hat, which he kept inside all day. He had a blast.

Sushi date night.

Russell's spring break was cold this year so we spent time doing some indoor activities Russell usually misses since he's at school, like gymnastics open gym and library storytime. We went camping on Friday night with some friends of ours, which was lots of fun!

Thomas likes to floss Ricardo's teeth before bed. He's not very gentle yet but he has a good bedside manner.

Very Hungry Caterpillar project at school. Preschool is so fun.

We had a great Easter, though Thomas didn't quite get the egg dying concept. He was just covered in blue dye by the end. He's obsessed with blue and only wants to wear blue every day.

The kids enjoyed several Easter egg hunts (school, playgroup, Grandpa's house).

Sorting through their spoils at Grandpa's house.

Last weekend we went to SeaWorld. The boys had a blast.

Feeding stingrays:

The guy sitting behind them decided to pose too.

Posing quota has been met:

We spent the rest of the weekend down in Tampa and enjoyed time with cousins, aunts, and uncles.

We are hoping for some beach weather soon!
