We've had a great spring/beginning of summer! The kids have been happy to be outside again after winter. Caroline loves the swings!
Nothing like a sunshine-y stroll to lull you to sleep.
Brothers put her in a box. She stayed there for a while. That was back in April, she would never do that these days!
We had a great Easter! We had a little Easter egg hunt at the park with friends and another egg hunt at church a few days later. Lots of fun! Thomas loves wearing his shoes backwards.
Trying to share candy with his sister.
Egg dying fun!
Thomas is our little chemist and is really into making his own concoctions all the time. He wasn't content with the egg dye and decided to add water and eventually mix all of the colors together, etc. He would have added baking soda (his favorite ingredient) if I had let him.
Ricardo took the boys on a fathers and sons campout the first weekend in May. It was still pretty cold up in the mountains! They had fun though.
I stayed home with this little princess, we had fun too.
We got to go to Russell's classroom and bring in cupcakes for his birthday. All of the kids in his class knew Thomas and Thomas always enjoyed going because he was popular. Lots of the kids always wanted to give him a high five or hug him.
Russell and I went to the middle school play the night before his birthday. It was an adaptation of Robin Hood and he loved it. Watching him watch the show was better than watching it. Can't believe this boy is 6! We also had a fun birthday party for him at a local park but as always, I have no photos of the occasion. Just a video of him blowing out his candles. We played some games and had a BBQ. The kids had a blast!
My mother's day feast! Some people couldn't wait to drink Ricardo's delicious strawberry lemonade. He took the boys shopping and let them each spend a few dollars on me. I got mostly baby toys (because I like taking care of babies Thomas said), paper clips, paw patrol toys (suspicious) and a few other very random things. It was very cute and a great day!
Shopping with 3 is harder and harder! I usually try to avoid it. How did moms survive before online shopping and grocery pickup?
She is becoming quite mischevious...
We enjoyed a fun Memorial Day Hike with friends.
Although I have been a little wary of hiking since then because the kids were running ahead on this hike and came across a rattling rattlesnake! Luckily he was in the midst of his breakfast and left them alone, but still scary!
They painted rocks at school and displayed them outside. It took a few afternoons of looking but we found his!
We went up to Seattle one weekend and took the ferry to Bainbridge Island. We spent the night Friday with my sweet aunt and her husband and then enjoyed the day in Bainbridge. The ferry was a big hit, we saw a gray whale which was exciting.
They had a cute children's museum on the island which the kids loved. It's been a while since they've been somewhere like this!
Bainbridge is an adorable little island and it was a beautiful day to be outside!

End of kindergarten concert! This year really flew by.
We went back to the classroom to get Russell's things and these two enjoyed coloring together. Russell was excited that their last unit this year was on sea life. "How did she know that is my favorite??"
He got an award for being one of the best behaved kindergarteners. Proud of him!
Now he is wishing he's back in school! Haha
Not really, because his grandma (Ricardos' mom) came to visit just a few days after school got out. She was kind enough to stay with the kids for a few days while we celebrated our 10 year anniversary (a little bit early) in the San Juan Islands and Victoria, Canada. We had a great time and I think the kids did too!
Got to have a bigfoot donut when you're in bigfoot country.
The San Juan islands are so beautiful (pictures don't do it justice)! We had a great time hiking and exploring. Glad we brought our jackets though, it was chilly, even in June! We didn't see any killer whales while on San Juan island but we were lucky to see some on the ferry from San Juan to Victoria the next day- a mother and some babies which we were able to watch for a while. Ricardo got some fun videos of them!

Victoria is such a beautiful city and we had so much fun sightseeing and enjoying the easy life of traveling without a diaper bag and strollers! (Don't worry, we did miss the kids and got in trouble with Ricardo's mom for calling too much to check on them:))
For Russell:
The cute little loft we stayed at in Victoria.
It was a fun and relaxing vacation, thanks to this wonderful lady!
We are happy we got to enjoy cherry season this year! It was earlier last summer and we missed it.
We borrowed a friend's cherry pitter and we all thought it was pretty amazing.
Summer is in full swing now and we are enjoying time outside and in the water. Russell was having a water fight the other afternoon over the fence with his neighbor friends. It was cute.
We had a great 4th of July, but I did a terrible job documenting it! We had a church breakfast and went to a little bike parade put on by a friend of mine, then headed to see some friends in another city and enjoyed hanging out in the pool all day! It was wonderful and made me miss Florida and all of our pool time. But, I'm also grateful to be on the west coast and hanging out with my great college friends and seeing our kids play together.
This weekend we took the boys to Home Depot to make a toy truck.
I love Russell's smile while he is working. I'm sitting on the floor trying to entertain Caroline.
Hope all of you are enjoying your summer!
