It's Autumntime

Time is flying by as usual with these kiddos. Summer is over and lately, it feels like fall is already over too and winter is here. It's been freezing! Here's a recap of the warmer parts of fall... Ricardo's parents came to visit in September. We enjoyed lots of fruit picking as usual and the kids had a great time having their grandparents around. Caroline thinks she is a big kid now. Making forts with her brothers It's so nice that Russell can read to Thomas now.  It comes in handy lots of places! His new thing is reading for a little while after Thomas falls asleep. He's great about not staying up too late so it has been a win-win for everyone!   I've always seen photos of other people's kid falling asleep in a highchair and couldn't fathom it ever happening to any of my kids, but it did! Summertime!

Occasionally I talk to someone who hates summer and wishes fall and winter would come faster! I truly can't comprehend these people because summer is my happy place. What is better than sunshine, water and long days? Especially with kids! It's so much better than being trapped inside all winter. We can still be friends-just like I'm friends with a few people who hate chocolate (they must be aliens I think), but...I hope my summer-hating friends will come over to the bright side one of these days because it's the best! I have to say that though we do miss the beach in the summertime here, we really enjoy all of the amazing local produce that is available here in the summer. We've done lots and lots of u-picking. It was definitely easier to pick fruits last summer while pregnant than with a very mobile and curious baby though. She has eaten a lot of dirt this summer scavenging for berries and also dumped out several of her brothers' unattended buckets. Bu...
