2 months of being outnumbered

We are feeling like a big family these days! 3 kids can feel like a lot to tote around town. Overall everyone is adjusting well and we were spoiled with our family being in town until Caroline was over a month old. Both of our moms helped so much with cooking and cleaning and entertaining big brothers, which helped me enjoy the newborn phase a lot more this time!

Russell started kindergarten a week after Caroline was born! He is loving it so far and I'm grateful he's adjusting so well to being in school all day.

My dad came to town for the weekend of Caroline's baby blessing and we went with my parents on this old Town trolley ride.

Ricardo's parents' flight into town got delayed and so we ended up having to do Caroline's blessing at our house instead of at church so we could do it on the Sunday while both sets of parents were here. We are grateful they were all able to be here!

It was such a treat to have these great college friends come as well since we live a lot closer to each other these days!

So fun to have your kids play well with your friends' kids. They enjoyed this boat out of water.

My mom took the boys to a health fair at Ricardo's residency. They were mad I wouldn't let them sleep in their face paint!

Newest grandchild status.

Both sets of parents were still in town for Labor Day and we enjoyed fruit picking and an outing at the lake. These children steal so much fruit while picking, it's a constant struggle!

Russell's current obsession is Transformers, specifically Bumblebee. If you've ever met him you'll know it's because his favorite color is yellow-that's pretty much the main compelling reason. Ricardo's dad made him this amazing transforming Bumblebee car when he was here. I'll have to take a picture of how it transforms-it is truly amazing!

Thomas continues to dote on his sister. I have countless photos of the two of them together already.

Russell reading the littles a story before school.

They love giving her a bath. In fact, if I tell them they can give her a bath after they clean up their toys, they actually clean up their toys. I'm not expecting this to last long. :)

Russell's school had a fun back to school night. The boys enjoyed climbing inside fire trucks and bouncing in the bouncy houses. It is nice to see Russell taking care of his little brother at these types of events.

Caroline is growing like a weed and has been a pretty decent eater/sleeper so far. I am enjoying all of the girly clothes. Ricardo has a hard time understanding why she should wear a bow on her head all the time.

Loving to read!

Enjoying the bunnies at the local fruit picking establishment. Fitting to their personalities, Thomas was thrilled to hold the bunny and Russell was not!

Sunday naps.

Thomas still loves to help me cook. He is incredibly patient with the whole process, which makes dinner not too stressful most days because he just stands on a chair by me and watches for the most part. On this day we made bread when we were learning about the letter B.

He is a messy painter though!

Testing out Ricardo's army gear while he was packing for a hunting trip.

Russell got free ice cream for finishing a reading chart for school, he was so excited. Thomas told me that he reads too so he wanted a coupon also.

(Thomas' hands in this picture, of course)

And he actually stole my phone and snapped this cute picture himself! Along with about 100 not so good outtakes. But, I was happy he got this good one!

So far, fall hasn't been too cold for us. The temps are cold at night but beautiful during the day. Hoping it stays like this for awhile.

We made caramel apple slices to celebrate the season.

Duck feeding

We are excited for Halloween!
