Happy Anniversary and News!

I am a little behind on blogging (as always) considering our anniversary was August 21st, but Happy 6th Anniversary to us! 

I have this picture hanging in our room and lately Russell has learned about weddings and marriage so he often looks at it and says, "You married Daddy? You're a princess?"  We love our sweet little boy and we're looking forward to having two little boys in our house after January 31st!  We are training Russell that his little brother is coming and he loves to talk about "my baby brother." Hopefuly he will still be excited in a few months.

Backtracking to our anniversary...we got a babysitter and went downtown for dinner and just enjoyed walking around the city at night. I'm sentimental and always make Ricardo watch our wedding video with me on our anniversary, which we enjoyed over cheesecake. I dropped the ball on taking pictures while we were actually out at dinner, but here's our post-celebrating photo-op at home.

Since then, it's been back to the routine of school and working after our busy summer. Ricardo did get to go on a trip to Florida for some school externships, which I was quite jealous of, but luckily my mom came to hang out with me and Russell during that week. We enjoyed some shopping, delicious food, and reading lots and lots of books with Grandma. 

This little boy loves books and can literally read for hours on end. We have a lot of books memorized around here.

He loves to help in the kitchen and always wants to add sugar to everything we make. At least parts of his personality prove he's my son too, though these two do look a lot alike. If you know Ricardo you know he did not pass on the sugar-loving gene.

We went apple picking a few weekends ago. Russell especially enjoyed the petting zoo this year. He still loves having a "cape" and wants to be "Super Russell" most of the time. He also recently decided a hat and gloves should be part of his ensemble so he was pretty mad at me when I made him take off his hat for his picture,

He got it back later though.
