Fall Fun

We have had a great fall so far! If you can really call it "fall" in Miami. It's definitely still a lot colder inside than it is outside-people are so overzealous with the AC down here!

School is keeping us busy for sure. I just finished my Internal Medicine rotation and am about to start pediatrics! Rotations have been really fun so far. If only I were getting paid for all of my hard work :). Ricardo has been busy studying night and day for his Master's program and flying around the country for dental school interviews. Fingers crossed for Dec. 1st!

Despite the fact that the majority of the time we spend together is at the library, we have been able to squeeze some other things in too! In September we got to head up to Orlando and hang out with our good friends Ashley and Lane and Ashley's parents who I love while they were in town on vacation. We spent the day at Cocoa Beach (no pictures , alas) and had a great time boogieboarding and catching up on life!

In October we had some more visitors and this time we learned our lesson regarding photo documentation! Tamara and Remington and their perfect baby Tyson (he really was the best baby ever) came in town and we were able to spend the weekend hanging out with them. We were even able to go to the long-anticipated Harry Potter Land at Universal Studios (thanks Mom and Dad for the belated Christmas present), which was so much fun. We enjoyed lots of rides and tried out the famous Butterbeer. Our recommendation: go with a baby and go in October. You will never wait in line. :)

Remington, Tamara, and I in the Butterbeer line. Longest line of the day!

Cheers!
Double cheers!

Tamara and Ricardo in Jurassic Park. Ricardo hates this picture because he thinks he looks like a little kid. Dinosaurs will bring out the child in you, I guess.

Dr. Seuss and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. It's really unfortunate that Tyson won't remember how much fun he had!

Ricardo and Tyson at the child swap. Best invention ever.

Remington in Toon Land.

All of us at the end of the day. We look a little worn out after a hard day's work.

We also took Tamara and Rem to the Orlando Temple:

While we were in Orlando we were able to hang out with our nieces and nephews for a few hours. Miss them!

Lucy driving the tractor.

Joseph helping Ricardo change the oil on our car.

Starting them young!

For Halloween we went to Chipotle with our good pals Dustan and Jenessa to get $2 burritos (not as exciting as the free burritos they used to give out, but a pretty good deal nonetheless). You had to dress like a farmer or a food. Dustan was the only real brave one. See if you can guess what his costume is!

...he's a carrot! Happy Halloween!! Looking forward to Thanksgiving!
