Family Pictures

Some of my favorites from our family photo shoot a few weeks ago. Thanks Sarah!

August catchup

Wow, another month has flown by, I can't believe it! Russell is almost 4 months old. People aren't lying when they say it goes by fast! We had a great and fun-filled August and are now back to real life. Ricardo's in school, I'm working, and all of our visitors have gone home. Here's what we did in August! Our good friend Stuart came to visit us because he had a work conference here in Philly. We went to one of our favorite local parks and did some hiking and the boys did some swimming. Russell and I opted out because the water is freezing! I miss my bathtub Florida water.         Russell grew bigger and bigger!   We had a lot of family come in town for Russell's blessing at church. Our house was packed! Luckily we moved at the beginning of the month and have a lot more space now. We went to Amish country with both of our families and had a great time both days. Here we are with Ricardo's parents. Here's the whole group...

First Road Trip

Well, we survived our first family road trip/vacation. It was so much fun!  Russell did great and we got to see and do a lot of fun things. We are loving this summer and wishing it will slow down!! On Thursday we left Philadelphia and drove about 2.5 hours north to a beautiful state park in the Poconos mountains. It is called Ricketts Glen for those of you locals who want to go. The park is HUGE and has something like 15+ waterfalls as well as a great beach on a lake. The lake water was actually warm, which was amazing! We only planned a few hours to spend here because we didn't know how much there was to do, so we are definitely making plans to return! The water coming off of the waterfalls was freezing-here's Ricardo dipping his toe in it in preparation for jumping off one of these cliffs. Russell and I were content to watch, though we did both enjoy the water at the beach until one of us got hungry. :) Ok, so I'm the worst action photographer ever....
