...is quickly coming to an end! As of today there are less than 4 weeks until my due date, which means he could really come anytime now if he wants. I feel like the anomaly amongst pregnant moms, because I'm really not in any rush for him to come yet! I just don't feel ready! For one thing, our apartment is currently under construction so he doesn't really have a place to sleep right now. For another, Ricardo is going out of town in 2 weekends for a school event so I hope he doesn't come before or during that trip. And, if we need a third reason, I'm supposed to work up until May 3rd. Maybe I'm putting too much pressure on our little boy to do what I want, but he's been pretty well-behaved during my pregnancy so far, so I'm hoping for the best. :) Life has been good since my last post. We have been keeping busy with work and school, but we both both enjoy what we do so that is a plus. My parents came out to D.C. in March so my dad could run a marathon ...

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a great time celebrating. For our New Years celebration, we had a deep frying party with some friends . We made sweet potato fries, jalapenos, cauliflower, mozzarella cheese sticks, won tons, and donuts. It was delicious and also the perfect way to start the new year by eating healthy. After a few plates of fried food, it's amazing how your desire for salad increases! Since then we have been back to the daily grind of school and work, but I wanted to take a moment to look back on 2012 because it was an incredible year. Probably the most eventful year of our marriage so far. Here are my top 12 of 2012, in no particular order except for the last one. :) 12. Trip to New York City! Merry Christmas! We hope everyone has had a great holiday season. We're very sad to see it quickly ending. In fact, we were just talking about how long we could leave our Christmas decorations up and not be judged. Our house just looks so much better with our tree and all of our decorations! One Christmas we had such a great tree that it stayed fresh until the end of January and we totally kept it that whole time. I think it was still good going into February, but by then we had come to terms with the fact that Christmas was over. We'll see what happens this year. :) We planned a day right before Christmas to head to downtown Philly and see all of the Christmas stuff. We started the day off at Macy's and saw the famous Wanamaker organ- it has the most pipes of any organ in the whole world and for some reason they decided to put it in a department store. The month of December has been crazy so far, but also lots of fun! We have had a great time decorating for Christmas and participating in all kinds of festivities. We have also been busy juggling work and school! Ricardo officially finished his semester on Friday and he is excited for a little break. Since I live in the real world, I don't get a Christmas break, but I do have quite a few days off due to my erratic work schedule, so we have some fun things planned for those days! On December 5th was Ricardo's 26th birthday. He is officially closer to 30 than 20 now, which I will be gloating about until I hit that mark next August. He had school that day, but I was off of work so I was able to cook all day and make him all of his favorite things. We had crepes with nutella for breakfast and for dinner we had delicious  spinach artichoke pasta  and carrot cake, one of the few desserts he actually likes.
