The times are changing...

December has been a fun and exciting month for us. It seems like big events are happening left and right! As of yesterday we have been married for 4 months! Yesterday was also the first time we forgot our anniversary. Usually we do something special on that day, but yesterday we totally spaced it until about 9:30 at night. So our celebration yesterday consisted of hot fudge sundaes (see below). I am definitely a list person (inherited from my mother), so I'm going to do another listing post. Here's what's new with us: 1. The first big thing in December was Ricardo's birthday! He got some cool presents: a fishing rod from me, a sweater, candy, and a Christmas movie from my mom (my favorite one, conveniently enough), and a nice dinner out from his parents (which we utilized during finals week). For lunch that day we went to this Thai place that I found online. We both love Thai food, but it's hard to find cheap, quality stuff. We went to this place called Spicy Thai i...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, we are not good bloggers so far. A whole month and a half has gone by! Well...since we last posted, a few big things have happened. 1. Ricardo got a job! He is the manager of the Hickory Farms and Lehi Roller Mills kiosks at the Provo Towne Center Mall. It's the perfect job because it ends at Christmas when we move and his hours are great. In 2 weeks she is going to Glendale, Arizona to interview at Midwestern University and in January she gets to go home to Florida to interview at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. 3. We celebrated our first Halloween together. We were Lucy and Ricky Ricardo and hosted a Halloween party at our house, which consisted of the boys bobbing for apples and the girls eating caramel apples. 4. Ricardo has been able to fit some fishing into his schedule...

Inaugurational Post

We're thinking this will force us to take more pictures (or steal pictures of ourselves that other people take). :) Lots of eventful stuff has happened this week. First, we finally got our wedding photos! We immediately went shopping for some picture frames and finished decorating our house. For those of you who haven't seen the pictures yet, our photographer's website is jleighphoto.com and the event code is kyliericardo. Below are some of our favorites! Second, we had our first family disaster last night. We came home from dinner at Andrew and Carrie's and Ricardo decided he wanted some french fries. So we set a pot of oil to boil while we got ready to go to Ashley and Lane's to carve pumpkins. Suddenly we remembered about the oil when we saw smoke emanating from the kitchen! Kylie turned off the stove and instantly the pot burst into flames. There was smoke everywhere and our fire alarm was blari...
